Description
Developing a garden based on the principles of permaculture, market gardening, and companion planting is incredible rewarding, but it does take time. And a bit of trial and error.
I have spent years doing the trial and error thing for our own gardens. As a result, I have developed the ability to put those techniques into practice for others. Planning is one of my favorite parts of the growing process. If you aren’t taking the time to plan out your garden prior to the growing season, you are missing out on a valuable resource. Just a bit of planning ahead of time can save you a lot of headache later.
Here at Developing Roots, there are loads of options to help you in this area. Besides the ability to purchase basic and custom garden plans from me, here are a few other great resources.
- The Blog is a great place to glean information for no cost at all.
- You’ll find a list to my favorite YouTube channels here where you can also gather loads of information.
- And I am a lover of gardening books and find them to be an invaluable resource. Here is a list of my favorites.
Most of all, don’t be afraid to just plant. Everyone has to start somewhere. I truly believe the number one hindrance to people starting a garden, of any size, is the mind set that they don’t know enough about it to try. I’m here to encourage to you start anyways.
