Grow Biblical Roots
Below is a message from our sponser…. hahaha just kidding. In all seriousness, I wanted to give you a little insight into the heart of Developing Roots, a small snippet of my story and why I believe these study groups are so important. I hope you’ll join me for one or two. Below the video you’ll find the different options available for small group bible studies this year. There is no cost involved, but I am intentionally keeping the groups small so register early to save your spot!Â
The Book of James
James is one of my favorite books of the Bible and one that I find myself often reading when I am in need of strength, wisdom and encouragement. My time often ends feeling convicted about something but always with the courage and strength to address that area of my life head on. This is the book I send people to when they’re feeling beat up by life and are having a hard time finding strength to stand back up again. Here is a link to The Bible Projects overview of James if you would like a more in depth description.
This will be a 6-week session. We will meet once a week beginning the week of January 11th.
Class times and additional information are on the event page, here.
The Books of 1st and 2nd Peter
1st Peter gives great encouragement reminding us that we are not of this world and gives us instruction for living a godly life that bares witness and brings glory to God. A very fitting book to study for the time we find ourselves living right now. 2nd Peter backs up the previous book giving warning of false prophets and the importance of remembering the Word of God and keeping its teaching; especially in the midst of persecution.
This will be a 9-week session. We will meet once a week beginning the week of March 1st.
Class times and addtional information are on the event page, here.
The Books of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John
I think of a few key ideas when I think of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John: Light vs. Darkness, Abiding in Christ rather than this world, God is love and we ought to love one another, and do not be deceived. It is a fantastic section of scripture.  Here is a link to The Bible Projects overview of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John if you would like a more in depth description.
This will be a 4 week session. We will meet once a week beginning the week of May 3rd.
Class times and additional information are on the event page, here.
The Books of Galatians – 2nd Thessalonians
This session will take you through the books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. A great study for all; whether you are just starting your walk with Christ or have been on your journey a long time. A bit longer session than some of the others but definitely worth the time. Here is a link to The Bible Projects overview of these books if you would like a more in depth description.
This will be a 26 week long session. We will meet once a week beginning the week of June 7th.
Class times and additional information are on the event page, here.
The Book of Revelation
“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.” Revelation 1:1-3
The dates for this session are still being decided upon. Most likely available in the Fall of 2021.Â
